We recently drove 1,400 miles to a family reunion - that's 2 days with 3 children in a car - we are all still alive. Like many people, my family lives all over the US and we don't get together that often. This reunion marked the first time that the we cousins had been in one place complete with families. Naturally we took pictures.
This is one of my favorites from the attempt to photograph all the 2nd cousins (children of 1st cousins.) There were other photos where more eye contact was made with the camera and more smiles were captured. But this one really represents our wonderful, crazy offspring - from age 14 years to almost 1 year. I look forward to trying to recreate it in years to come ;)
I also never want want to see another s'more as long as I live! Although some would disagree...
Just for the record, the jumbo marsh mellows really are too much for s'mores, even when burned.
I "borrowed" from my uncle the photo albums that my grandparents had kept for the past 33 years, since they bought this cabin, and have been busy digitizing and posting them online (coming soon fam!)
It was truly an amazing time and I can't wait to do it again, #inanairplane.
